Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is proceeding with its plans to offer a minority stake in new subsidiary ADNOC Gas, which consolidates the emirate’s gas processing and LNG operations, through an initial public offering on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in 2023.

Thailand’s state oil and gas group PTT has named Auttapol Rerkpiboon to be the next President and Chief Executive with a strategy for 2020 to start boosting its presence in the liquefied natural gas business as an importer and eventually a regional trader.

French energy major Total said it paid $3.9 billion to close the acquisition of Anadarko Petroleum’s 26.5 percent operated interest in the Mozambique LNG project from Anadarko purchaser Occidental Petroleum.

Thailand PTT, the nation’s oil and gas company, said it was seeking to become a regional trader of liquefied natural gas and to increase small-scale LNG distribution in southeast Asia with the help of its current LNG import terminal and a second facility under development.

Murphy Oil, the US company whose Rotan natural gas discovery offshore Malaysia is the subject of a floating LNG joint venture, said it completed the sale of its Malaysian assets for more than $2 billion to Thailand state energy company PTT Exploration and Production.
