Trading arm of French utility will test Japanese assumption that LNG and oil prices will stay low
France’s EDF Trading signed an LNG agreement with Jera Co. Inc of Japan, the joint venture between Tokyo Electric Power Co and Chubu Electric, to buy cargoes from the Japanese business to optimize the value of the fuel in the European market on the assumption oil prices will remain low.
