Europe’s gas rises
May 26 (LNGJ) - Two LNG cargoes are scheduled to arrive in the UK in the next week amid increasing natural gas prices, one at the Isle of Grain import terminal in Kent on May 27 from the Yamal plant in northern Russian and a second at the Welsh port of Milford Haven from Qatar. The Yamal cargo will arrive on board the “Nicolay Zubov”, a carrier with 172,000 cubic metres of capacity. The Qatari cargo, the first UK shipment of the month of June, will be delivered on June 2 by the 260,900 cubic meters cubic metres capacity Q-Max carrier “Bu Samra” to the South Hook facility at Milford Haven, according to the port authorities.
The Russian and Qatari cargoes are scheduled as the UK National Balancing Point benchmark natural gas price rose to $9.35 per million British thermal units and the main Continental European price, the Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF), hit $9.50 per MMBtu on rising demand.
Brent crude oil rises for a sixth day as US natural gas also increases but spot LNG is still flat
Oil prices rebounded with the North Sea Brent crude price rising for a sixth day to over $28 per barrel as the US front-month natural price increased 7.5 percent from the previous day, while LNG prices for Europe and the Asian spot market were still at historic lows.
UK cargoes March 24
March 17 (LNGJ) - Each of the two LNG import terminals at Milford Haven in Wales, Dragon LNG and South Hook LNG, will receive a shipment on March 24. The 155,000 cubic metres capacity “Gaslog Seattle” is scheduled to deliver to the Dragon facility from the Bonny Island plant in Nigeria. The 210,100 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex carrier “Duhail” will unload its Qatargas cargo at the South Hook facility on the same date.
The shipments are scheduled as the UK National Balancing Point natural gas price has dropped to $2.80 per million British thermal units while Continental Europe’s Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF) price was slightly higher at $2.85 per MMBtu.
Singapore Exchange and Energy Market Co. to cease LNG price data leaving JKM to dominate
The Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Energy Market Company (EMC) are to discontinue the publication of the prices and indices for spot LNG cargoes for Southeast Asia, North Asia and Dubai, Kuwait and India.
