Sea-LNG, a global coalition of energy and shipping companies backing the increased use of liquefied natural gas as a maritime fuel, said it had appointed representatives of French bank and project financier Societe Generale and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore to replenish its 12-strong board.
Gas Entec, the South Korean engineering company that provides equipment for small-scale LNG vessels and floating and onshore projects, said it delivered its gas-handing package for the first US LNG bunkering barge being construct at a shipyard in Texas.
A host of leading liquefied natural gas players such as energy major Royal Dutch Shell, Middle East producer Qatargas, French importer Engie as well as shipping lines and classification societies have teamed up to promote more LNG use as a maritime fuel.
