Steelhead LNG has stopped work on the Kwispaa LNG project in Sarita Bay on Vancouver Island’s west coast, casting doubt on the future of the joint venture that found little encouragement among officials and politicians in the Pacific coast province of British Columbia.
Steelhead LNG, developer of the near-shore export plant proposed for Vancouver Island, is currently investigating the pipeline route to bring feed-gas from the Chetwynd area of northeast British Columbia to Sarita Bay on First Nation-owned land.
Steelhead LNG, the Canadian export project for Vancouver Island backed by a native North American First Nation tribe, is making progress and signed an accord at the Gastech 2018 conference in Barcelona for the engineering phase of two floating production and storage hulls.
