Sonatrach, the Algerian national energy company and LNG producer, said it signed an agreement worth US$490 million with Chinese major Sinopec in the form of a production sharing contract for the Zarzaitine block in the Illizi basin of eastern Algeria.

The owners of the small-scale LNG import terminal and fuelling facility at the Port of Ravenna in northeast Italy have formally entered commercial service as the first LNG fuel-dedicated port under the European Union's clean fuel policies.

Enagás, the Spanish natural gas operator and LNG terminal owner, reported an almost 15 percent rise in net profits as it enacted special working measures to keep LNG flowing at its three main regasification terminals.
