UK major BP has signed a sale and purchase agreement with China's State Power Investment Corp. (SPIC) for supplying pipeline natural gas to the southern province of Guangdong province for a period of 10 years starting from 2023.
June 12 (LNGJ) – An accord has been signed for joint development of LNG bunkering facilities at the Yantian deepwater port near Shenzhen city in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong. The signatories to the joint venture agreement include the Shenzhen municipality, Chinese energy major PetroChina, the Shenzhen Gas Group and Yantian Port.
In addition to LNG storage at Yantian, the project also involves the construction of LNG bunkering vessels for ship-to-ship operations. “The long-term goal of the project is to supply 2 million tonnes per annum of LNG bunker fuel,” said a statement.
Qatargas, the world’s largest liquefied natural gas producer and with plans to take output to more than 100 million tonnes per annum, said it signed a 22-year agreement with PetroChina to supply Chinese import terminals with around 3.4 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas.
Nov 29 (LNGJ) - The 147,000 cubic metres capacity “Dapeng Moon” will unload a shipment on December 3 at the Chinese Shenzhen facility, owned by China National Offshore Oil Corp., from the Dampier export terminal in Western Australia, operated by Woodside Petroleum, according to shipping data. The 147,200 cubic metres capacity carrier “Arctic Lady” is scheduled to deliver a cargo on December 15 to the French Fos Cavaou import terminal near the Mediterranean port of Marseilles from the Hammerfest plant in Norway.
