French energy company Total has purchased regasification capacity from Petrobras of Brazil at the Salvador LNG import facility in the northeast Brazilian state of Bahia as part of an alliance agreement.

Brazilian state-run energy company Petrobras has launched an international bidding process for the sale of its two liquefied natural gas import terminals, which have already received LNG cargoes from the new export plant at Sabine Pass in Louisiana.
