The Chinese government said it hoped for more energy cooperation with Russia and praised the Eastern Economic Forum in the Russian Far East city of Vladivostok as a “key platform” for discussing economic issues concerning Russia and Asia and in particular China.

The first ever liquefied natural gas cargo paid for in Chinese yuan instead of US dollars has been unloaded at an import terminal in China’s southern Guangdong province.
