Canadian shipping line, British Columbia Ferries, has awarded another newbuild contract to the Polish Remontowa Shipbuilding company in the Baltic port of Gdansk for a liquefied natural gas-powered vessel.

BC Ferries, the Canadian shipping company serving towns and communities around Vancouver Island in British Columbia, said its third newbuilt dual-fuel vessel with LNG capability has transited the Panama Canal on its way to Vancouver from the Remontowa Shipbuilding yard in Gdansk in Poland.
