Yantai Port Group, the Chinese cargo transportation, warehousing and harbour management company in the northeast province of Shandong just south of Beijing, plans to take part in up to three liquefied natural gas storage and terminal projects to be completed between 2022 and 2025.

Djibouti, the small Horn of Africa nation and former French colony on the southern side of the Gulf of Aden, has started a $5 billion liquefied natural gas export project with backing from a powerful industrial group in China and using feed-gas imported from neighbouring Ethiopia by pipeline.
