US dry natural gas production has remained at relatively high levels throughout 2023 despite a decline in US natural gas prices with growth driven by the Permian Basin where most of the natural gas is produced from associated gas produced from oil wells.

The new Chief Executive of Canadian pipeline company Enbridge Inc., Greg Ebel, has said that regulatory uncertainty in Canada had resulted in a “lost decade” for Canadian liquefied natural gas production and that US regulators also have to help projects on the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana to move forward.
