Excelerate Energy of the US, the leading global floating storage and regasification unit developer, has reached an agreement to enable more liquefied natural gas imports to Brazil as the nation continues to cope with much reduced hydro-electric power because of drought.
Petroleo Brasileiro, the state energy company of Brazil, said it had successfully concluded tests to allow a 50 percent capacity increase at its re-started floating liquefied natural gas import terminal at Guanabara Bay in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
