US LNG exports surged in the past week as overall global liftings fell back slightly and North Asia spot LNG prices advanced for January and February 2021 shipments compared with last week.
The US exported 10 liquefied natural gas shipments in the past week, one less than the previous week, as mixed US natural gas prices were offset by increasing LNG values in Europe and Asia on demand expectations even as the market remained over-supplied.
Singapore LNG spot cargo prices surged by 12 percent in the past week as trading picked up and North Asian shipments for the second half of November were quoted at US$6.000 per million British thermal units.
