Argentina plans to deploy a floating liquefied natural gas production hull at the port of Bahia Blanca in the second quarter of 2019 under an agreement with Belgian shipping company Exmar and the Argentine oil and gas producer Yacimientos Petroleiferos Fiscales (YPF).
LNG importer Argentina will advance its plans to halt shipments within a couple of years as it expects development of its own resources in the Vaca Muerta shale-gas region will lead to the restart of pipeline gas exports to Chile as early as October.
