Woodside Energy, the Australian LNG plant operator and oil and gas company with offshore assets in Senegal and others in Canada and Trinidad after merging with BHP Petroleum, said a joint industry venture in Australia pushes frontier of robotics for offshore inspection.

Australian engineering company Monadelphous said it won another new contract for the Ichthys LNG project in Darwin with a combined value of around A$170 million, a week after winning a A$600M maintenance contracts from LNG operator Woodside Petroleum in Western Australia.

Monadelphous, the Australian engineering company based in Perth, was awarded a A$600 million (US$453M) contract by LNG producer Woodside Petroleum for the provision of gas asset general maintenance services over the next five years.

Australian engineering and construction company Monadelphous said it was awarded the long-term offshore maintenance services contract for the Ichthys LNG project being developed by Japanese energy company Inpex near Darwin in the Northern Territory.

Australian energy and LNG engineering company Monadelphous Group said it will partner with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. of the US for a five-year upstream contract in Papua New Guinea for Oil Search Ltd, one of the partners in the PNG LNG plant and expansion project.
