The US northeast state of Maine may have finally seen its liquefied natural gas import-export venture run out of regulatory time, but it is currently considering an LNG storage project involving one of the main Japanese terminal and plant builders.

Gearing up to develop the $2 billion bi-directional Downeast LNG facility (3 mtpa) in Robbinston, Maine, DELNG has submitted its pre-filing request to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
