Gasum, the Nordic natural gas company and LNG supplier based in Finland, said it had agreed to acquire two businesses from the German group, Linde AG, with one involved in the clean energy sector and another in LNG maritime fuel.
Gasum, a leading Nordic natural gas company and liquefied natural gas supplier, said a growing number of trucking companies in countries like Finland and Sweden are renewing their vehicle fleets to be powered by LNG, taking advantage of Gasum’s expanding filling station network.
July 17 (LNGJ) - Gasum, the natural gas and LNG operator in Finland, posted a 6 percent drop in first-half profits to 48.8 million euros ($54.6M) compared with 51.9M euros in the same six months of 2018 even as revenues rose 5.9 percent to 632.5 euros versus 597.5 euros in the 2018 period. Gasum said its second joint venture LNG terminal, the Manga Tornio facility, was opened in June, providing a response to growing demand for low-emission LNG and strengthens security of supply in the northern parts of the Nordic countries.
Gasum, the state-owned natural gas company in Finland whose subsidiaries include Norwegian liquefied natural gas market participant Skangas, reported increased first-half revenues and profits amid further development of the market in the Nordic countries.
