March 22 (LNGJ) - Peru’s LNG exports in March are heading for the North Asian markets of China and South Korea, according to data from energy company PeruPetro. Four vessels have left the Pampa Melchorita liquefaction plant on the Pacific Coast of Peru with three headed for South Korea on the 173,540 cubic metres capacity carrier “Megara”, the 135,400 cubic metres capacity carrier “Madrid Spirit” and on the 173,400 cubic metres capacity vessel “Sevilla Knutsen”.
During the current winter season Peru has also shipped cargoes to Europe. The fourth cargo lifted so far in March from the Peruvian plant is heading for Tangshan in China on the 170,200 cubic metres capacity vessel “SFC Melampus”.
The US Department of Energy has just published its latest liquefied natural gas export data with the average overall price for the six plants declining to under $6.00 per million British thermal units and as China started to overtake Mexico in overall deliveries while more supplies reached South America and smaller nations like Malta and Lithuania.
March 29 (LNGJ) - The 138,000 cubic metres capacity carrier “Madrid Spirit” is scheduled to deliver a shipment of LNG on April 2 to the UK Dragon import terminal in Milford Haven in Wales from the Atlantic export plant at Point Fortin in Trinidad. The delivery was heading for the UK as the National Balancing Point benchmark natural gas price was at the equivalent of $7.00 per million British thermal units, while one of the main continental European prices, the Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF), was lower at the equivalent of around $6.60 per MMBtu.
Sept 7 (LNGJ) - The Peru LNG export plant at Pampa Melchorita has loaded two cargoes in September. The first was lifted by the 138,000 cubic metres capacity “Madrid Spirit”, operated by Teekay, and is headed for Spain. The second was loaded onto the “Gallina”, operated by Shell Shipping, and was enroute to the Manzanillo import terminal on the Pacific coast of Mexico.
The newest French import terminal in Dunkirk received its first commissioning cargo on July 8, transported from the Nigerian liquefaction plant at Bonny Island on the Niger delta to the Channel port on board the carrier “Madrid Sprit”.
