MAN Diesel & Turbo, the European maritime equipment and engine maker, said it was selected to provide a complete power package and fuel-gas system for the world’s first fishing vessel with LNG propulsion.

MAN Diesel and Turbo, the German maker of marine engines and turbomachinery, said it was building a new test facility in South Korea in partnership with Hyundai Heavy Industries that will include improving LNG equipment and dual-fuel engines.

South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries-Engine and Machinery Division and shipowner Ilshin have signed a shipbuilding contract for a 50,000 dead-weight tonnage bulk carrier with liquefied natural gas propulsion provided by Germany’s MAN Group.
