The Linde Group of Germany was awarded a contract by a Chinese chemical and energy company to supply a mid-scale liquefied natural gas liquefaction plant at an industrial site near Beinichuan in Inner Mongolia, an autonomous region of northern China.
Gazprom said its board considered a new report forecasting most global shale-gas production was likely to be concentrated primarily in North America in the medium-term and long-term so that the Russian natural gas company would have to boost its own shale and LNG prospects as European and Chinese developments lagged.
June 16 (LNGJ) - Yamal LNG project developer and natural gas and energy company Novatek of Russia and German liquefaction and processing equipment maker Linde AG have signed a partnership and cooperation agreement. The accord aims to facilitate cooperation in the construction of process modules and the sourcing of equipment in Russia. “The signed agreement will create a favourable environment for consolidating cutting-edge LNG technologies in Russia, give impetus to setting up new industrial capacities and help optimize capital expenditure on LNG projects,” said Novatek Chairman Leonid V. Mikhelson.
BOC of the UK, a subsidiary of Germany’s Linde Group, is set to open its first LNG fueling unit for trucks on an existing fuel forecourt in Britain and with full public access.
