US oil and natural gas and LNG production companies are monitoring Tropical Storm Karl that has formed in the southern part of the Gulf of Mexico in the Bay of Campeche.

The 174,100 cubic metres capacity LNG carrier “Yiannis” has arrived at Venture Global’s LNG export plant, America’s newest, at Calcasieu Pass in Louisiana, signalling that the first cargo is expected to be lifted in the next 48 hours.

BNP Paribas, France’s largest stock exchange-listed bank, will stop representing global LNG shipping companies in bonds sales and project financing as well as developers of US LNG export projects under the bank's new environmental investment policies.
