Equinor, the Norwegian oil and gas company, said the Hammerfest LNG export plant that suffered a fire last month will likely be closed until October 2021 for repairs, cutting more than 60 cargoes from the European market for the next year.
Equinor, the operator of the Hammerfest LNG export plant on Melkoya Island in Northern Norway, confirmed that the facility had suffered a serious fire on September 28 shortly after re-opening following a previous closure as a safety measure because of a gas leak.
Dec 6 (LNGJ) - The South Korean shipbuilder, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., said it received an order from Knutsen Shipping of Norway for a small-scale LNG carrier with capacity of 30,000 cubic metres and worth $77 million. “Hyundai Mipo will deliver the ship by the first quarter of 2021,” said the yard, a subsidiary of Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world's biggest shipbuilder by orders.
