Petronet LNG of India and Japanese trading houses Mitsubishi Corp. and Sojitz Corp. are moving ahead with their FLNG import terminal plans for the island nation of Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is drawing up a schedule for an LNG import project at the port of Kerawalapitiya on the west coast of the island nation comprising a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and associated infrastructure.
Indian terminal owner and importer Petronet LNG plans to invest in a first regasification facility in Sri Lanka with a large Japanese company as an additional stakeholder.
