The US Magnolia LNG export project in Louisiana said it had received a Notice to Proceed (NTP) from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, opening the way for preparation work to begin on the site for the liquefaction plant on the Calcasieu Shipping Channel near the Port of Lake Charles.
Magnolia LNG, the export project being developed in Lake Charles in Louisiana, has signed a preliminary supply contract with a company planning to bring the first import terminal on line on the east Coast of India.
For all the talk of India being a rising power as a natural gas and LNG importer, its lack of infrastructure means it just stayed ahead of Chinese Taiwan as the fourth-largest Asian importer last year.
