Indian LNG imports soared last month by almost 39 percent as shipment came from nations such as Qatar, Australia, the US and Angola as India prepared to bring a fifth regasification terminal on line on the West Coast as it awaits its first facility on the East Coast.

The energy company owned by the Indian West Coast state of Gujarat that includes the city of Mumbai said it would bring its Mundra LNG import terminal on line by September 2018 while it awaits the signing up of a strategic partner.
