Cheniere Energy, the largest US LNG exporter from the Sabine Pass plant in Louisiana and the Corpus Christi facility in Texas, told regulators that its Sabine Pass Train 6 project was now more than 44 percent complete in terms of construction amid continued progress by US engineers Bechtel Inc.
The Norwegian-owned LNG carrier, “La Mancha Knutsen”, was sailing southeast in the Gulf of Mexico with the first commissioning cargo from the new third processing Train at Cheniere Energy’s LNG export plant at Corpus Christi in Texas.
Cheniere Energy, the leading US LNG export company through its Sabine Pass plant in Louisiana and the Corpus Christi facility in Texas, is on its way to becoming a world-scale producer, behind only Australia and Qatar, with the approval by US regulators of its Texan expansion venture using mid-scale liquefaction and taking total overall output for Cheniere to 52 MTPA.
