Italian PM visits Algeria for pipeline gas to replace Qatari LNG
Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is scheduled to visit Algeria this week, seeking to step up pipeline gas imports after QatarEnergy notified Edison it cannot deliver the five contracted cargoes due in early April.
Shell LNG cargo from Egypt’s Idku en route to Italy
The Shell-operated tanker ‘New Nature’ is heading for Italy, carrying 155,000 cubic meters of LNG from the Idku terminal in Egypt. The shipment reflects the Egyptian Petroleum Ministry’s quest to boost exploration in West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) concession.
Adriatic LNG delivers nearly half of Italy’s LNG imports in H1-2025
Volumes regasified and delivered by Adriatic LNG terminal reached a record 44% of Italy’s LNG imports in the first half of this year, amounting to about 10.3 billion cubic meters (bcm) – a 35% rise compared to the pre-year period. Adriatic LNG is Italy’s third most important gas entry point after pipelines from Algeria and Azerbaijan.
