Alaska Railroad Corp. said its railway service in the US state was scheduled to start transporting containers of liquefied natural gas on trains for a trial period.

Tokyo Gas Co., Japan’s third-largest LNG importer, has started full commercial operations at the nation’s latest import terminal at Hitachi port in a network now numbering 33 regasification and satellite facilities.
