July 14 (LNGJ) - The export division of Russian natural gas giant Gazprom said it would conduct its third gas auction for Europe on August 31 and September 1-2, 2016. Gazprom Export’s auction is for the supply of Russian pipeline gas to Europe during the 2016/2017 winter period. As at the first auction in September 2015, gas will be supplied to the delivery points of Greifswald, Gaspool and Olbernhau in Germany. In addition, the buyers will have the opportunity to receive volumes at Baumgarten and Arnoldstein in Austria. Last year, the bidders were offered 127 lots with a total volume of 3.24 billion cubic metres.
