Belgian and Spanish natural gas network and LNG terminals owners, Fluxys and Enagas, have closed their joint sale to First State Gas Transport AB of their total stake in Swedegas, owner and operator of the high-pressure gas grid in Sweden.

Skangas, the Nordic LNG distribution company and infrastructure operator, has signed an agreement with the Swedish Gothia Tanker Alliance to deliver liquefied natural gas as fuel for LNG-powered or dual-fuel vessels.

The Belgian LNG import terminal at Zeebrugge will expand truck-loading to capture growing fuel demand in Northwest Europe in a project backed by European Union funding.

Sweden’s natural gas transmission company Swedegas said it was investing in liquefied natural gas bunkering facilities at the quayside of the Port of Gothenburg, where vessels will be able to refuel with LNG while loading or unloading their cargoes.
