UK cargo schedule

Jan 23 (LNGJ) - The UK is receiving a steady flow of LNG cargoes with two arriving over the next week and one already scheduled for February. The “BW Lilac” with 174,300 of capacity is due to discharge a US shipment at the South Hook terminal in Milford Haven on January 26, according to shipping data. The cargo was lifted on January 15 from the Cove Point export plant in Maryland.

   The vessel “SM Golden Eagle” with 174,000 cubic metres of capacity is due to arrive at the Dragon LNG terminal at Milford Haven on January 28 carrying a shipment from the Peruvian export plant at Pampa Melchorita. The shipment was loaded on December 24 at the Peruvian Pacific Coast plant. The “Gaslog Georgetown” carrier with 174,260 cubic metres of capacity is scheduled to arrive at the UK South Hook facility on February 1 with a shipment from the Calcasieu Pass plant in Louisiana lifted on January 19.

US cargoes for EU

Sept 14 (LNG) - Two LNG carriers were lying off Groningen in The Netherlands awaiting orders and carrying shipments from US LNG export plants, according to shipping data. The 174,250 cubic metres capacity carrier, “GasLog Georgetown”, had a cargo onboard from the Sabine Pass plant in Louisiana. The second vessel, the 167,415 cubic metres capacity carrier “Methane Becki Anne”, had lifted a cargo on August 31 from the Elba Island export facility near Savannah in Georgia.

Texas cargo for UK

Feb 1 (LNGJ) – A US cargo was heading for the UK as European prices declined from recent seasonal highs. The 180,000 cubic metres capacity carrier “Gaslog Georgetown” is scheduled deliver a cargo on February 7 to the UK South Hook terminal at Milford Haven in Wales from the Corpus Christi export plant in Texas, owned by Cheniere Energy, according to the port authorities.

   The UK National Balancing Point benchmark natural gas price was currently at around $7.30 per million British thermal units while the continental European Dutch Title Transfer facility (TTF) price was lower at the equivalent of $7.05 per MMBtu.

GasLog Ltd, the Greek LNG fleet owner with 35 carriers split with its US affiliate GasLog Partners, reported an increase in third-quarter profits of more than 13 percent as overall revenues slipped because of the expiry of several charters, offset by new agreements in US and UK.

GasLog Ltd., the LNG carrier fleet owner with 20 vessels and with another 15 ships held by its US affiliate GasLog Partners, has launched its latest carrier at the South Korean Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard.

The carrier named “GasLog Georgetown” was expected to be delivered for service by late October 2020.

The vessel has capacity of 180,000 cubic metres and will also feature WinGD’s low-pressure gas X-DF propulsion.

The X-DF engines are able to operate both on natural gas or diesel fuel.

GasLog took delivery of two newbuilds in 2019 and signed long-term charters with two new customers, JERA Co. Inc. of Japan and the Spanish utility, Endesa SA.

GasLog, which was previously based in Monaco now has its headquarters in the Greek port of Piraeus, has a total fleet of 35 vessels, with 28 carriers on the water and seven on order.

The company relocated senior management and more of its employees to the Piraeus office to improve efficiency and to reduce overheads.

GasLog reported annual and fourth-quarter losses in February 2020 of $119.9 million versus a profit of $30.3M in the same quarter of 2018.

For the year, GasLog’s losses came to $114.6M compared with a profit of $126.4M in 2018.

Annual revenues rose to $668.8M from $618.3M in the previous year, while fourth-quarter revenues slipped to $182.2M from $188.6M in the prior-year quarter.
