March 9 (LNGJ) - The 210,00 cubic metres capacity Qatari Q-Flex carrier “Al Safliya” is scheduled to deliver a shipment on March 16 to the UK South Hook import terminal in Milford Haven. The vessel lifted the cargo on February 27 from the Ras Laffan plant in Qatar.
The import facility in the Welsh port started operations in 2009 and its construction was championed at the time by the UK government as an “energy bridge” between the Middle East and Britain. Among other deliveries, the 180,000 cubic metres vessel “GasLog Wellington” was scheduled to discharge a US shipment on March 9 at France’s Dunkirk import terminal. The cargo was lifted on February 22 from the Freeport LNG export plant in Texas.
