June 7 (LNGJ) - The leading US LNG export company Cheniere Energy held its annual meeting of shareholders and elected all 10 members standing for re-election to the board as well as appointing new President and Chief Executive Jack A. Fusco as a board member. The others elected to the board were G. Andrea Botta, Neal A. Shear, Vicky A. Bailey, Nuno Brandolini, Jonathan Christodoro, David I. Foley, David B. Kilpatrick, Samuel Merksamer, Donald F. Robillard, Jr. and Heather R. Zichal.

Cheniere Energy, the first liquefied natural gas exporter from the US Gulf Coast after its Sabine Pass liquefaction plant in Louisiana begain operations in February, saw its shares surge more than 6 percent in one day after it named a new Chief Executive to help make Cheniere “one of the top global LNG companies” and ending months of uncertainty.
