Naturgy Group, the Spanish global utility company with LNG supplies from the US and Russia and natural gas and utility businesses in Spain and South America as well as renewables projects in Europe, the US and Australia, reported a first-half surge in revenues and net profits.

Naturgy Group of Spain, the utility with LNG deliveries from both the US and Russia, has confirmed with Algerian oil and gas company Sonatrach that the expansion project on the Medgaz natural gas pipeline from Algeria to Spain would start operations in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Naturgy, the Spanish utility and buyer of both Russian and US liquefied natural gas volumes, has agreed to extend its long-term LNG supply contract with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority.

Naturgy, the Spanish utility with Latin American assets and LNG volumes from the US and Russia, and state-run Algerian company Sonatrach have agreed to purchase the stake in the Medgaz natural gas pipeline from Algeria to Europe held by United Arab Emirates energy company Mubadala.

June 29 (LNGJ) - Gas Natural Fenosa, the Spanish utility and LNG market participant with international pipeline networks as well, has changed its name to Naturgy to take on additional challenges. “This new name will cover the company’s businesses in Spain and internationally and the new brand of the parent company will be Naturgy Energy Group S.A,” said Naturgy. Other energy companies have recently rebranded to signal environmental awareness, including Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil that changed its name to Equinor. The new ticker for the Naturgy shares will appear in the Spanish IBEX35 exchange as NTGY. “We are highly aware that the world is changing,” said Chief Executive Francisco Reynes. “The company is not starting from zero. We are already acknowledged as a friendly energy company that is committed to its customers,” added Reynes.

Gas Natural Fenosa, the international natural gas power utility and LNG market participant, has unloaded its first shipment from Russia under a long-term contract, involving a capacity of 172,600 cubic metres of gas.

Gas Natural Fenosa, the Spain-based utility and major liquefied natural gas market participant, has signed a contract with Algerian energy company Sonatrach to renew pipeline and LNG supply contracts with the North African nation until 2030.
