FortisBC can move ahead with its C$3.1 billion Tilbury Phase 2 expansion in Delta, British Columbia, after securing federal and provincial environmental approvals, clearing the way for a construction start in 2027.

Canadian company Fortis Inc. has signed a 20-year agreement to supply liquefied natural gas to the US state of Hawaii’s main power company for gas-fired generation from its small-scale liquefaction plant in British Columbia, starting in 2021.
