The US Annova liquefied natural gas export project planned for the south bank of the Brownsville Ship Channel in Texas, and whose owners include Chicago-based power company Exelon Corp. is moving forward with its plans by signing up several contractors as investors.
US utility Exelon Generation has signed an agreement to purchase the Everett LNG import terminal, located near Boston in Massachusetts and the oldest such facility operating in the US, from the North American subsidiary of French utility Engie.
