Polish Oil and Gas has signed a contract with South Korean company LG Chem group to set up a liquefied natural gas regasification facility near its factory in Wroclaw in southwest Poland producing batteries for electric vehicles.

Royal Dutch Shell has opened its first Belgian liquefied natural gas filling station at Herstal targeting international road freight traffic as the European fuel network increases, fed by LNG import terminals in the Dutch port of Rotterdam and the Belgian port of Zeebrugge.
