Liquefied natural gas cargo liftings are decreasing this week while North Asian spot cargo prices and benchmark European values were still strong after the Dutch Title Transfer Facility price reached a 2021 high and North Sea Brent crude was at levels not seen for two years.

About 130 cargo loadings have been cancelled at US LNG export plants since April 2020, including 40 liftings that would have been scheduled for July and the same number for August.

Flex LNG, the growing shipping company with six vessels operating and seven others on order and whose largest shareholder is a company controlled by Norwegian magnate John Fredriksen, has entered into a new time charter in what is its second deal in a month.
