The latest completed LNG import in the West Coast of India, the Mundra LNG terminal in the state of Gujarat, is expected to receive its first cargo in the weeks ahead after being mechanically completed about a year ago and now issuing a tender.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the first Indian East Coast liquefied natural gas import terminal at Kamarajar Port that recently started its commissioning process with a cargo from Qatar.

Amec Foster Wheeler, the UK-based energy engineering and construction company, has won a contract to build the first Indian LNG import and regasification terminal planned for the east coast of the country at the port of Ennore in the state of Tamil Nadu.
