Engie, the French energy company and utility with LNG interests and with growing renewable assets in Europe, said it would become a retail natural gas supplier for three markets in the northeast US state of Massachusetts after last year selling its LNG import terminal near Boston.
French utility Engie, the parent company of France's network operator and LNG terminals owner, said its US$8.6 billion joint bid with a Canadian fund won the competitive tender conducted by Brazilian energy company Petrobras for the sale of the South American nation’s largest gas transmission network.
French pipeline company GRTgaz has inaugurated its Val de Saone project in eastern France that will fully amalgamate LNG and pipeline supplies and boost capacity on the North-South axis, creating a single natural gas market in France from November.
