Enbridge, the North American pipelines and energy transportation company, reported a decline in earnings as it completed sales and acquisitions to swap around its assets and proceeded with natural gas ventures meeting LNG processing demand on the US Gulf Coast.

The new Chief Executive of Canadian pipeline company Enbridge Inc., Greg Ebel, has said that regulatory uncertainty in Canada had resulted in a “lost decade” for Canadian liquefied natural gas production and that US regulators also have to help projects on the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana to move forward.
