Gas Natural Fenosa, the Spain-based utility and major liquefied natural gas market participant, has signed a contract with Algerian energy company Sonatrach to renew pipeline and LNG supply contracts with the North African nation until 2030.

June 11 (LNGJ) - The 216,200 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex carrier “Tembek” was unloading a cargo on June 11 at Poland’s Swinoujscie import terminal on the Baltic coast from Ras Laffan in Qatar, according to shipping data. The 145,000 cubic metres capacity vessel “Ejnan” will deliver a cargo on June 15 to the Barcelona terminal in northeast Spain from Qatar. The 177,000 cubic metres capacity vessel “Gigira Laitebo” will unload a shipment on June 17 at the Chinese Tianjin terminal in the northeast province of Hebei province from the Papua New Guinea plant. The 210,100 cubic metres capacity carrier “Umm Al Amad” will deliver a Qatargas cargo on June 20 to the Chinese Shanwei terminal in the southern Guangdong province. The 172,636 cubic metres capacity vessel “Fedor Litke” will unload a shipment on June 21 at the Mugardos terminal near the northwest Spanish port of El Ferror from the Yamal plant at Sabetta port in Russia.

Reganosa, the owner of the Mugardos liquefied natural gas import terminal at the port of El Ferrol in northwest Spain, said it supplied fuel for the first experimental European passenger train locomotive to be powered by LNG.

Russian natural gas company Novatek said Spanish energy company Gas Natural Fenosa would be one of the first customers to receive cargoes from the Yamal liquefied natural gas export project in Arctic Russia when it starts commercial operations.

March 21 – Three LNG cargoes are being delivered from the Bonny Island export plant in Nigeria to European terminals, according to shipping data. The 177,000 cubic metres capacity “LNG Lagos II” is currently unloading a shipment at the Mugardos terminal at El Ferrol in northwest Spain. The 137,230 cubic metres capacity vessel “LNG Rivers” will unload a Nigerian cargo on March 23 at the Huelva terminal in southwest Spain. The third cargo is being shipped to France. The 148,471 cubic metres capacity vessel “LNG Kano” is scheduled to unload its shipment on March 26 at the Montoir-de-Bretagne terminal on the French Atlantic Coast.

Gas LNG Europe, the industry business organization, has held a meeting at the Reganosa import terminal in the northwest Spanish port of El Ferrol attended by 16 directors of regional natural gas regasification facilities.
