Gas Natural Fenosa, the Spanish utility and liquefied natural gas market participant, has sold its gas distribution assets in Italy to Rete Gas and Edison for a combined sum of 1.02 billion euros ($1.2Bln) as part of a restructuring plan.

Italian natural gas infrastructure company Snam, owner of the long-established Panigaglia import facility near the Mediterranean port of Genoa, has bought a stake in the offshore Adriatic regasification terminal on the east coast previously held by French-owned Italian utility Edison.
