Equinor of Norway, the main supplier of pipeline natural gas to Europe and an LNG exporter, has been awarded two more licences for carbon-dioxide storage facilities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

France’s Air Liquide, world leader in industrial gases and LNG technologies, has signed an agreement with French ship and transport firm Sogestran to ship liquid carbon-dioxide around European waterways by barge and ship for carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) projects in the European Union.
