The US Department of Energy has given final approval after permit processes lasting more than a decade of the Alaska Gasline Development Corp. LNG export project to supply Asian nations with the state’s abundant North Slope gas.

US pipeline company Kinder Morgan and two equity funds are making progress on receiving permits to transform the existing Gulf LNG import terminal in Pascagoula in Mississippi into an export plant.

US regulators have prepared a draft environmental impact statement for the Plaquemines LNG export plant proposed for the banks of the Mississippi River and its associated Gator Express Pipeline system.
