European and Asian LNG prices declined on the week as European Union gas storage levels increased and more LNG deliveries are being scheduled for Germany’s floating import facilities, while more momentum was still awaited from spot cargo buyers in the Pacific Basin.
European and Asian natural gas market prices declined and shipping spot charter rates began to gather pace while there were fewer cargoes to lift this week from global export plants.
European natural gas prices and LNG values dropped a further 16 percent this week amid mild winter weather and the Japan-Korea Marker for spot cargoes also declined, though at a slower pace and widened the gap to over $4.70 per MMBtu with Europe’s benchmark gas price as Germany was poised to receive regular LNG shipments.
