Dominion Energy, the developer of the Cove Point LNG export plant in Maryland, and a joint venture partner plan to double their investment in renewable natural gas (RNG) projects across the US to $500 million capturing methane from hog farms and converting it into pipeline-quality gas that can be used to heat homes, power businesses and fuel vehicles.
Dominion Energy, the power and natural gas operator and owner of the Cove Point LNG plant in Maryland, has made changes in responsibilities to build a senior leadership team under Thomas F. Farrell, Chairman, President and Chief Executive.
Nov 22 (LNGJ) - US natural gas and energy group Dominion, developer of the Cove Point LNG export plant in Maryland due to come on stream in 2017, has appointed Diane Leopold, currently President of Dominion Energy, to the additional post of Chief Executive of the energy unit. “She will be responsible for all of Dominion's natural gas businesses,” said the Richmond, Virginia based company whose assets include 14,400 miles of natural gas pipelines. Leopold joined Dominion in 1995. She also serves as chair of the Interstate Natural Gas Pipeline Association of America, the first woman to hold the position. Dominion said Leopold will report to group Chairman, President and CEO Thomas F. Farrell II.
