The owners of the small-scale LNG import terminal and fuelling facility at the Port of Ravenna in northeast Italy have formally entered commercial service as the first LNG fuel-dedicated port under the European Union's clean fuel policies.

Italian utility Edison and Enagás, the Spanish natural gas grid operator and LNG terminal network owner, have delivered the first cargo to their small-scale LNG import terminal joint venture at the port of Ravenna on the northeast coast of Italy.

Enagás, the Spanish natural gas grid operator and LNG terminal network owner, has signed an agreement with Italian utility Edison, to become a shareholder in a new small-scale onshore LNG terminal at the port of Ravenna on the northeast coast of Italy.
