Dec 14 (LNG) - French LNG storage technology firm GTT and South Korean naval engineering company DSEC have signed a technical assistance and licensing agreement for the construction of GTT’s membrane containment systems. The companies said the accord addressed the requirements of clients wishing to fit membrane-type LNG fuel tanks to all types of vessels, including cruise ships, container vessels, bulk carriers or ferries. “Moreover, DSEC is already recognized for its ability to implement complete solutions including fuel gas supply systems and cargo-handling systems,” said GTT. “With this new cooperation, which broadens the spectrum of GTT industrial partners, shipyards no longer have to acquire the know-how required for the construction of GTT membranes and of LNG handling,” it added.
